Beautiful video with a desperately important message
While my husband has been busy building us a new carport, I have been keeping myself busy in the garden. I have trouble throwing things away if there is even the slightest chance it could have a use. So when my lavender plants needed cutting back, I had to put those cuttings to use hopefully I will turn them into new plants.
Now I don’t consider myself a green thumb by any measure and when one of the horticulture staff at work (I work in a zoo with beautiful gardens) told me how easy it was to grow lavender from cuttings I was a bit nervous. But with a bit of potting mix and “Plant Strike” and following the instructions to the letter, I gave it a go. Low and behold pretty much all the cuttings took and I used them all along our new fence line. They all grew so well they needed a trim and I couldn’t bear to throw away all those potential new plants.
They are all a bit wilted at the moment but in a few days, if they take, they will straighten up. I will have 35 new plants with any luck, not that I need that many but that’s what friends are for. ..offloading all those extras :)
